Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

Pilots from the 171st Air Refueling Squadron Train During Dispersed Operations

U.S. Air Force Pilots from the 171st Air Refueling Squadron, conduct flight training on a KC-135 Stratotanker during a routine shuttle trip from Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport in Gwinn, Michigan, to Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, in Detroit, Michigan, on 1 October, 2024. A rotating group of nearly 100 Airmen from the 127th Air Refueling Group, and personnel from the 127th Mission Support Group, temporarily shifted KC-135 flying operations to Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport (formerly K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base,) and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, while Selfridge Air National Guard Base undertook routine flight line maintenance and resurfacing.
