Dynamic Front 26 Press Release

WIESBADEN, Germany —

56th Multi-Domain Command - Europe, alongside NATO Allies and partners, commenced Dynamic Front 26, a multinational training exercise designed to rehearse NATO regional plans and enhance the integration of multi-domain fires across a distributed battlefield.

Dynamic Front 26 is the U.S. Army’s largest artillery interoperability exercise in Europe and serves as the practical application of the Eastern Flank Deterrence Line (EFDL). The exercise focuses on integrating lethal and non-lethal effects across land, air, sea, cyber, and space to counter anti-access/area denial systems and massed forces. Unlike previous iterations,

Dynamic Front 26 emphasizes command-and-control and simulation while conducting live-fire training across multiple Allied nations. This approach reflects the realities of modern warfare, where forces must operate across distance, national boundaries, and domains while maintaining speed and precision.

“This exercise demonstrates how the U.S. Army and our NATO Allies train the way we would fight together, across multiple domains, and at scale,” said Mr. Clinton Carroll, Public Affairs Officer for the 56th Multi-Domain Command – Europe. “Dynamic Front shows that Europe is not only a forward line of defense, but a live laboratory where we refine the capabilities and partnerships required to deter aggression and protect peace and stability.”

The 56th Multi-Domain Command – Europe leads the integration of effects at the theater level, converging sensors, shooters, and decision-making processes to create operational dilemmas for potential adversaries. Dynamic Front 26 highlights the command’s role in advancing multi-domain operations and strengthening NATO’s collective deterrence posture.

Dynamic Front 26 also marks the final iteration of the exercise under its current construct. Beginning next year, it will merge with Arcane Thunder to form Arcane Front, reflecting the Army’s continued evolution in training for large-scale, multi-domain operations.

Dynamic Front 26 underscores the enduring commitment of the United States and its Allies to collective defense and reinforces NATO’s ability to respond to emerging threats across Europe and beyond.
