BIOGRAPHY

COL J. Brad Fausnaugh is a native of Ohio who currently serves as the Commander of 19th Battlefield Coordination Detachment (BCD), which is co-located with the U.S. Air Force Europe and Africa HQ on Ramstein Air Base, Germany. He graduated from Kent State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Field Artillery. COL Fausnaugh also hold a Master of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in International Relations from the Oklahoma University and a Master of Arts in Strategic Studies Degree from the U.S. Army War College.

Prior to his tour in the 19th BCD, he served as the Field Artillery Colonels Human Resource Manager at the Senior Leader Division – Colonels Management Office. Other notable assignments include Commander of 2d Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment in 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division at Fort Bliss, TX, Chief of the Commander’s Initiative Group for Special Operations Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve; XO/S3 for the Field Artillery Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment. Over the course of his career, COL Fausnaugh has deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom, twice to Operation Enduring Freedom, and to Operation Inherent Resolve.

COL Fausnaugh’s military badges include the Parachutist Badge and the Combat Action Badge. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with oak leaf cluster), the Meritorious Service Medal (with three oak lead clusters), Army Commendation Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (with two oak leaf clusters), National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, and the Honorable Order of Saint George.

Brad and Amy Fausnaugh have been married for over 23 years. Amy is also a veteran, having served in the reserves before the two were married. They have two children, MaryRose (16) and Nicholas (12).
