SGM Casey Benjamin Mack is a native of Lehighton, Pennsylvania. He entered military service, joining the Army on 28 April, 2005. He graduated from Columbia Southern University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2022. SGM Mack is also a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA), class 75 “Be the change”.
SGM Mack served as a Senior Military Science Instructor (SMSI) at the University of South Dakota. He instructed the sophomore and junior cadets on basic military knowledge, leadership, tactics, and doctrine. Planned, resourced, and instructed hands on field training exercises and labs, preparing the cadets for Cadet Summer Training (CST).
SGM Mack served in the 18th Field Artillery Brigade (HIMARS) for six and a half years, completing his platoon sergeant and first sergeant time within the brigade. He served twelve months as a Fires platoon sergeant in Bravo Battery, 3-27FA, twelve months as a Support platoon sergeant, and eighteen months with third platoon in Alpha Battery, 3-27FA. Deploying in support of Operation Spartan Shield with third platoon to MSAB, Jordan and camp As Sayliah, Qatar in 2019. Frocked to first sergeant in April, 2020, SGM Mack assumed responsibility of Bravo “Bullshark” Battery, serving as the first sergeant for two years. He was then selected to serve as the first sergeant of HHB Brigade, 18th FAB.
SGM Mack served as a detailed recruiter in 1st Brigade, Syracuse recruiting battalion, Wilkes Barre company, Wilkes Barre center. The center was responsible for an area that spanned over 2,144 square miles and included twenty-one high schools, nine colleges, and one job corps. He was responsible for counseling applicants on enlistment process to include programs and options, preparing their enlistment documents, and processing them into the active duty or reserves.
SGM Mack served as a M270A1 launcher chief in both Bravo Battery, 1-38 FA, Camp Casey, Korea and Bravo Battery, 1-21 FA, Ft Hood, Texas. He was responsible for the training, conduct, morale and welfare of two Soldiers as well as multiple additional duties. Prior to this, SGM Mack served as an ammunition specialist in Bravo Battery, 6-37 FA, Camp Casey, Korea and as an ammunition specialist and a HIMARS gunner in Charlie Battery, 3-27 FA, Ft Bragg, North Carolina. He deployed to Afghanistan in March, 2008 with Charlie Battery, 3-27 FA.

SGM Mack is the proud father of three amazing children, Callie (22), Hannah (20), and James (18).
