Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

U.S. Marines with 3D Network Battalion hold a Change of Command Ceremony for Lt. Col. Daniel Chamberlin, incoming commanding officer of 3rd Network Battalion, Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group, and Lt. Col. Taylor Thompson, the outgoing commanding officer of 3rd Net Bn, MCCOG, at Plaza Housing, Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, June 6, 2025. Thompson served for two years as the commanding officer and was relieved by Chamberlin who previously served as the assistant chief of staff G-6, MCIPAC. Thompson also received his second meritorious service medal for his service as commanding officer. Chamberlin is a native of Pennsylvania and Thompson is a native of Tennessee.
