Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

Pohakuloa Training Area (PTA) located between the slopes of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa on Hawaii Island has several multi-million dollar construction contracts on-going which assist the local economy by providing employment to Hawaii Island based contractors and their workforce. The new troop barracks alone is funded for 17 million dollars with a completion date of 2022. In addition to this contract, the U.S. Army at PTA is completing extensive drainage and utility upgrades for the base totaling more than 20 million dollars. The combined construction contracts involve more than 100 trade workers from the local area doing masonry, heavy equipment operations, utility work and general labor. During the pandemic, these types of contracts provide consistent and well-paying jobs to Hawaii Island based families.
