Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP) Intern Jessica Frew
Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division
Oct. 24, 2024 | 4:21
Meet Jessica Frew, a recent graduate from Gallaudet University, who majored in sign language interpretation. Frew spent the summer at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division participating in the Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP), fulfilling her internship requirements for her Master’s degree while working with Carderock’s four full-time staff interpreters. NREIP is a ten-week, paid internship program that places undergraduate and graduate students in Department of Navy laboratories, where they are engaged in naval research and projects for the summer. Carderock fosters a fun, one-of-a-kind work atmosphere where brilliant minds can flourish and push the limits of the possible. Carderock also houses some of the nation's most advanced facilities for research, development, testing, and evaluation. These resources, spread across its headquarters and seven detachments, give the Navy a clear edge in creating the next generation of surface ships and submarines. (U.S. Navy video by Kristin Behrle)
