Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

Coast Guard Air Station Ventura opens in California

The Coast Guard held a ribbon cutting and commissioning ceremony at Naval Base Ventura County, Point Mugu, on November 13, 2024, celebrating the opening of the Coast Guard's newest air station in 25 years. Air Station Ventura features a $70 million state-of-the-art, 48,000 square-foot hangar and a 12,000 square-foot administration facility, ensuring that Coast Guard personnel have the resources to carry out their vital missions. This new facility is expected to house three MH-60 Jayhawk helicopters and approximately 100 personnel, significantly enhancing the Coast Guard's regional capabilities.
