Dynamic Front

The next iteration of exercise Dynamic Front takes place from Nov. 4-24, 2024 in Finland, Estonia, Germany, Poland, and Romania. It demonstrates NATO’s ability to share fire missions, target information, and operational graphics from the Arctic to the Black Sea.
The exercise increases the lethality of the Alliance through long-distance fires, builds unit readiness in a complex joint, multi-national environment, and leverages host nation capabilities to increase USARUER-AF’s operational reach. Dynamic Front is planned to include more than 1,800 U.S. and 3,700 multi-national service members from 28 Allied and partner nations.

A U.S. Air Force B-52 Stratofortress leads two U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harriers, two Turkish Air Force F-16 Fighting Falcons, two Spanish Air Force AV-8B Harriers, two Spanish Air Force F-18 Hornets, and two Swedish Air Force JAS-39 Gripen fighter aircraft in a NATO fixed-wing flight formation over the Baltic Sea during Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 24, June 12, 2024. BALTOPS 24 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval forces Europe-Africa and executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
